I’m typing quite slowly as I cut my hand while spearfishing yesterday. I made 4 cm incision when my brand new knife slipped and struck the back of my left hand. Fortunately not tendons, nerves, or vessels were severed, but it is a full thickness incision which required stitches. Please pray it won’t get infected, and that it will heal quickly.
Last Thursday we celebrated the starting of a new church which meets at the home of Carlos & Josephine. This group started as a TFT disciple training group and has grown very strong in a short time. Most of the 10 people in this group are sharing the gospel weekly; one man, a Christian for 15 years, is sharing for the first time and very excited about evangelism! This church is discussing how to start new groups in the near future. Praise God for this faithful body of believers!
Two days later Fred and I started a Field 2 outreach group at a house in Fred’s community. This “house of peace” consists of 2 families living together who, on several previous attempts to start a group in their home, refused. As it was Christmas Eve, we share the story in Luke 2, and one of our questions is “Who else needs to hear what you’ve learned today?” Two of the young people in the group shouted out names immediately and expressed enthusiasm about telling them! Pray for this house at “27” that God will open doors as we meet over the next several Saturday evenings.
Enough for now, the left hand is really hurting. Every blessing to you in the new year!
