Strategy Partners

Thank you for praying for our Strategy Partners gathering on Sunday.  We had a full house and I was very pleased to see the excitement and hear the wonderful stories of what God has been doing in Tasmania over the past months!  Continue praying for these 9 dynamic people who want to reach Australia.  I will begin a new Strategy Partner cycle in Feb/Mar 2011.  If you want to participate or know someone who may, please let me know at once.  Thanks.

We now have a FaceBook page, thanks to Josh M. who launched this a few days ago.  The purpose of this page is to provide discussion space as well as to point people to our website, http://www.aimtrainers.org.  Please be sure to visit the FaceBook site and join the AIM Trainers page.  Let’s start talking!   On our website I recently added a link called “Evangelism Tools” listing a number of effective methods for sharing the gospel.  Please have a look at http://www.aimtrainers.org/evtools.php.

At this time we have seven churches or training groups meeting in homes in the Hobart area, plus one in George Town.  Two outreach groups meet in schools to reach students–led by students who are new believers!  Pray for two new training groups and one community outreach group which will start shortly, as well as 2 other groups in the not-too-distant future, all in the Hobart area.  Glocal Impact Church near Sydney is planning to start Reboot training in late November, and Pastor Aris will be inviting people from neighbouring churches to participate.

And now for some practical work.  Questions are effective tools for finding out where people stand spiritually and initiating God-conversations with them.  Here are some of my favorites.  Remember, let people share freely and don’t be judgmental with their replies! What do you plan to do this weekend?  (people generally ask you the same question…and if they do, you can mention your involvement in church)

  • Do you have any spiritual beliefs?
  • What is your experience of God?
  • How will you help your children live in a world that is becoming increasingly dangerous?  (great for parents)

May God help you bear much fruit this week as you share the good news and make disciples!

Ben
