My apologies for not writing for such a long time! I’ve just returned from an extended trip to Germany, London, and the USA. However, this trip wasn’t part of my plan. On January 29th I received a call indicating that someone was needed to lead the T4T (Training for Trainers) conferences in Germany. The man who was slated for the job was sidetracked by a family matter and could no longer be there. I got the call just 2 weeks before having to leave, so as you might guess, those 2 weeks involved a mad rush in preparing for a big event.
The T4T training took place in 3 main events including a 4-day training and a 10-day training in Altenkirchen, and a one-day vision day in Hamburg. At all 3 events I was privileged to partner with Ying Kai, the man who came up with the T4T concept back in 2000–a great man of God and one of the most influential people in my life. It was a great joy to be with Ying and his wife Grace, and to hear their passion for the Lord
In all we trained about 160 people, mostly missionaries, church planters, and pastors from Germany and several other nearby countries. Now our prayer is that every person will use what we’ve given them to reach and train people, and start groups that multiply. Please join me in praying for these courageous people, that they will help to reverse the decline of vibrant Christian faith in Europe.
After the training concluded, we traveled to London for 3 days in an exploratory visit–my first time in that city. Despite the bitter cold, we enjoyed some historic sites and got to know some wonderful people. From there we flew to the USA to visit our families for 8 days. This includes grandchild number 3, Daniel Randell Armacost, who was born just a few days before we arrived!
Many thanks to those of you who have been praying for us in this unexpected trip. And our apologies for being suddenly out of touch for over 5 weeks.
May God bless you all as your make disciples who make disciples.
