The following is from Brian Bullen in New Zealand. Brian is a Baptist pastor who has committed much time and effort to multiplying disciples throughout the “top end” of the north island, and his influence has spread to Vanuatu as well. Join me in praying for Brian & Stephanie in this great work.
Well the new year is swinging into action so its time to catch you up on what needs praying about. We saw some great stuff happen last year and are looking forward to more exciting times this year. Thank you so much for your commitment to praying.
- Great news – our first bible study group in Kaeo is starting this coming Tuesday. Most of you will be aware of how long this has been on the prayer list. Well its about to happen folk. Please pray that everyone who has said they are interested will come and a few more. so far we have 5 folk who are interested. All of them non-Christians. Pray that God will open their eyes and their hearts as they read His Word.
- Next bit of great news. We have a couple of possible groups starting in Kaikohe. Please pray that everything will fall into place for these to start and that they will be an effective doorway into the lives of people in Kaikohe.
- The groups that we had last year are continuing so please pray for the groups at Te Tii, Matauri Bay, Morewa and Kerikeri. Pray for the leaders of the groups. Pray that the groups will all start other groups within the next 4 months.
- I was reading the other day about someone doing similar work in a much bigger country and he said that the work never really got going until he had a prayer support team of over 1000! We are not that big a group so can you please pray for others to grab the vision and commit to pray for all that God is doing here in the Far North.
- Please pray for us (Brian and Stephanie) as the year starts to speed up which its seems to be doing rapidly. Pray we will stay close to Jesus, that we will always be aware of the opportunities that are before us and will be quick to take them. Please pray for many open doors to share the Good News of Jesus.
Thanks so much for your support. Would love to hear from you about how God guides your prayers as you pray for us.
